Andrea is a native of the Promised Land community. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Limestone College and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Mental Health. She is also a graduate of the Women’s Leadership Institute at Furman University’s Center for Corporate and Professional Development.
Andrea’s professional career included being a certified police officer with the City of Greenwood; Special Education Assistant at Northside Middle School; and is currently the Registrar/PowerSchool Manager for Westview Middle School. As the Registrar she oversees registration for all incoming and outgoing students, grade distribution, as well as federal and state funding programs.
She is active in her community by serving on various committees and boards. Andrea is a Chamber Ambassador for the Greenwood (SC) Chamber of Commerce; served on the Investment Committee for the United Way of Greenwood & Abbeville counties; volunteer for the Greenwood (SC) Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) Summer Circle Leadership Scholars Program; and she currently serves on Beckman Mental Health’s Project COPE steering committee. and The Greenwood Promise's Engagement Committee.
Andrea is an active member of the Greenwood Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and presently serves the
state of South Carolina as the Episcopal Commissioner of the Debutante-Master Commission (DMC).
White is an advocate for girls and she believes every young girl should have the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. She has a strong passion for developing the next generation of leaders. She is the founder and Executive Director of BLOOM (Becoming Leaders of Optimism &Meaning), a leadership development program for girls. Andrea remains committed in doing her part as a community servant and advancing leadership opportunities for girls.
