• Leadership Greenwood began in the 1980’s and remains a signature Chamber program.  It is designed to help develop an active corps of engaged, dedicated civic leaders.  Graduates are now challenging themselves, serving their employers & our community in meaningful community-building efforts.

  • Class of 2018 - 2019 Application Now Available

This eleven-month leadership development program is designed to identify and cultivate individuals with the interest and potential to serve in our community's many leadership roles.

For over 30 years, Leadership Greenwood has provided participants with opportunities to engage in a comprehensive course in personal, professional and community exploration.  The essence of community engagement in Greenwood is explored from the experiences of local leaders in education, government, business and nonprofit organizations.

Leadership Greenwood begins August 23 with a two-day opening retreat. Between September and May, the class meets for one full day a month with a closing retreat. The program covers Greenwood’s history, local government, nonprofit organizations, education, healthcare, industry, and quality of life.  New to this year's class will be a focus on Greenwood’s relationship with our neighbor, Laurens County, and a focus on Greenwood’s #1 asset, Lake Greenwood.  Class members also get engaged in numerous service opportunities throughout the year.

Completed applications are due to the chamber by Friday, July 27 at 5 p.m.
Class size is limited, so please don't delay in applying. Tuition is not due until mid-September.

Applicants should also email a photograph (headshot in jpeg format, if possible).
