Hosted by members of the Greenwood County Council, including Councilwoman Edith Childs, Councilman Gonza Bryant, and Councilman Theo Lane, ongoing community discussions have occurred with various sectors of the community, including law enforcement, faith based leaders, and the community at-large.  Councilwoman Childs felt the need to convene this series of community violence discussions to hear possible solutions from residents and community leaders.

There will be one final meeting with representatives of the juvenile justice sector and then members of the County Council will discuss future plans and strategies.  A meeting with juvenile justice leaders will occur on July 26th at 3:30 p.m. in the same meeting location.
